Most local directories are pay-to-play. The businesses on top paid to be there, they didn't earn it. Georgia Verified works differently. Every listing here is a real business, pulled from public records, and search results are never for sale.

The Georgia Verified mark is a separate thing from just being listed. It means Harold checked the business in person, and a real human confirmed it's real and active. Not every listing carries the mark yet, only the ones he's personally checked. We don't rate businesses or rank them by how good they are, and nobody can pay us to.

We started in northwest Atlanta because that's where the gap is biggest: great local businesses with 4.8-star reputations and zero online presence beyond a Google Maps pin. Georgia Verified is growing from there across the rest of Georgia, giving businesses a home for free and giving searchers a place to actually trust what they find.
